Blogger just changed the way it handles post edits (i.e. it changes the date now)

Blogger must have pushed an update that changed the date of an post everytime there is a minor edit on it.

This means that the couple (old) posts that I just changed a couple labels, have now the wrong date!!! 

These 'edited blog posts' also show at the top of this blog (i.e. on the blog home page) which is something that I don't want.

A key usability problem with this change, is that I will be more reluctant to change/fix old posts (for example adding a better label) since I will lose its post date (which for some posts is important)

Any idea on how to go back? I looked for a config option, but couldn't find one.
