Quickly edit the OWASP WIKI (using O2)

One of my pet issues with the OWASP Wiki has always been its interface, more specifically how slow the workflow was when making updates and performing actions like (for example) image uploads.

So, while I was developing the O2's API development/customization/interoperability capabilities, I used the MediaWiki as a case-study, and ended up creating a full blown MediaWiki API and GUI.

There are tons of of features in the main Editor, but here are two videos that shows two very powerful ones:
  • MediaWiki Page Editor - Viewing, Editing and Creating contenthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aP52dUWUjJ0  - use this to quickly edit Media Wiki Pages and upload images/screenshots
  • MediaWiki Editor - Create Backuphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4So1YU4RtE - create an offline copy of the MediaWiki content: Pages, Category's Pages, User's Pages, Template's Pages and Files/Images/PPTs/PDFs (the example on this movie uses the separate O2 Platform website (but the same is valid for owasp.org) and it shows all features available in the O2's MediaWiki editor (btw, if you backup the OWASP website and chose the 'Files' options you will download 1G+ of files (which are a great resource btw :) ))
Let me know if you have any issues running these scripts (and no more excuses that the WIKI is hard to use :)   )
