- started blogging again (46 posts in 2009 vs 8 in 2007)
- started using twitter (1228 tweets - see my TweetStats)
- (post IBM acquisition of Ounce Labs) decided NOT to become an IBM employee
- (on O2):
- created a dedicated website for my OunceLabs research (called O2) at http://www.o2-ounceopen.com/
- made O2 an an OWASP project (now called the OWASP O2 Platform and hosted at: http://www.owasp.org/index.php/OWASP_O2_Platform)
- added substancial features to O2 (and refactored several times most of its modules)
- started to document the huge amount of features that O2 has: O2 Documentation , Videos , presentation: What is the OWASP O2 Platform , presentation: OWASP O2 Platform Modules
- moved O2's source code hosting to Google Code (http://code.google.com/p/o2platform), created a public issue list (http://code.google.com/p/o2platform/issues/list) and started a mailing list (https://lists.owasp.org/mailman/listinfo/owasp-o2-platform)
- (on OWASP (highlights)):
- participated in 5 (out of 17) OWASP conferences: OWASP AppSec Europe 2009 (May), OWASP AppSec Ireland 09 (Sep) OWASP AppSec Brazil 2009 (oct), IBWAS'09 in Spain (Nov), OWASP AppSec US 2009 (Nov)
- helped the OWASP Global Projects Committee (GPC) to (amongst other things) create and implement the new OWASP Project Assessment Criteria V2 and a new Wiki template to manage the project's information page
- started a new OWASP Connections Committee that I will help to implement in 2010
- bought an Eglu for my house in London and added two chickens to the Cruz Family (we're now 1 male and 6 females (wife, daughter, daughter, dog, chicken, chicken)
